Dr. Craig Kozak on a bike raceLiving and playing in Grand County is about as good as it gets. From homeowners with their never-ending to-do list to the weekend warriors and professional athletes pushing their physical limits, we demand the best from our bodies and do what it takes to live here and see our dreams come true. We are active, passionate and accept no compromises … we refuse to give up what we love because of debilitating pain.

As mountain people ourselves, we understand that passion. As chiropractors, we address the needs of each person with customized treatment:
   • Chiropractic for painful spine joints
   • Acupuncture for pain control and energy balance
   • Sports medicine for arm and leg injuries
   • Massage therapy for sore, tight muscles
   • Rehabilitation to regain your strength and flexibility
Or, you may need a special combination of treatments.

Start Here
A good, thorough evaluation will help us decide which treatment methods to use. We’ll start with a discussion of your current problem in detail. A chat about your prior injuries, similar problems and general health issues provides background information about your problem. It also might show an underlying issue that contributed to your current problem. A physical examination of your painful area and underlying issues completes our picture of your problem. Each step gives us clues to the treatment that will help you the most.

Spines Don’t Walk Around by Themselves
Those underlying problems could be wide ranging, for example, weak core muscles, stiff hip joints, painful shoulders, flat feet, sore knees … the list goes on!

“It’s all connected!” is something we hear from patients a lot. We’ll tell you how. A stiff overstressed hip can cause a painful back. A weak core or low back pain can decrease your body control while skiing and cause a crash and a tweaked knee. Flat feet can complicate your ankle sprain. A sore knee can drain the power from your throw and make a painful shoulder work a lot harder than it wants to.

Your customized treatments start relieving pain quickly and get you back to your normal life. Getting the pain out of the way allows us to fix those underlying problems so your pain stays away.

It’s About Who You Are, What You Do, and What You Need
There are a lot of options for health care these days. Think of us as your front-line defense. Try us first if you have pain or poor function anywhere from nose to toes. If we can’t do it, we’ll guide you to somewhere that can. Even if you’re only visiting our beautiful valley for a short time, we’ll help you enjoy your visit and work with your personal doctor when you get home.

We know firsthand what it means to play hard in Grand County. Hiking, biking, camping, skiing … we do it! We know the demands of an active, outdoor life. And, we know what it takes to get you back in the saddle again
